Ever find a rock or mineral and wonder what it was? With the use of a hardness/streak test kit and mineral book you can now figure out what you've found. Based on Mohs' scale of hardness, this kit includes nine minerals, each a certain number on Mohs' scale. In addition, there are a white, unglazed porcelain streak plate and a convenient pouch for carrying the entire kit in your backpack. An instruction card and list of common minerals arranged by Mohs' scale also accompany the kit.
